Yigal AZROUEL @SAKS Bal Harbour Shops

by Angeles

Yigal Azrouël, the designer behind the ultra-feminine, modern silhouettes and luxe fabrics
clothing who dresses Natalie Portman, Liv Tyler, Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Alba, Eva Mendes and Charlize Theron was visiting Miami for a personal appearance at Saks Bal Harbour Shops
on Wednesday, March 28th.
Azrouël – a self-taught Israel-born fashion designer of French-Moroccan descent  – launched his women’s wear label in 1998 to critical acclaim and by 2000 began his participation in
New York Fashion Week.
I had the opportunity to talk to him to congratulate his Spring collection and his contemporary brand Cut25, that I love it! because it's trendy, colorful and relax.
It was a great event at Saks, with nice music, champagne and easy going atmosphere!
Thanks to Saks for the invitation and Yigal Azrouël for being so nice to have a talk with me.
My favorites from Yigal Azrouël Fall 2012, you can see the whole collection HERE.

CARTIER - Juste un Clou Collection

by Angeles

“Just a nail” it's the latest spring release from famed French high-jewelry house Cartier. A simple elegant nail launches April 13 at select Cartier Boutiques.
Cartier’s first nail bracelet was created in the 1970s by in house designer Aldo Cipullo, also the mastermind behind the beloved Cartier Love bracelet.
The Cartier Juste un Clou collection launch will be commemorated with an exhibition of Cipullo’s work at the Cartier Fifth Avenue Mansion in New York City through May 8.
It's a modern accessorie, while remaining true to the essence of the house.
And in my opinion this fabulous collection will be the Love bracelet of our generation.

The collection is comprised of bracelets and rings in 18k yellow, rose and white gold with and without pave diamonds.

The renowned jewelry designer Aldo Cipullo. He began his apprenticeship in Italy, his home country, before moving to the States where he worked for David Webb and Tiffany.
He continued his career with Cartier, refining and simplifying his design sensibilities.

In 1969, he created what seemed like a fairly simple gold bracelet. Inspired by the chastity belt, he called his design the love bracelet and suggested that couples buy two, which they
would exchange, like rings.
Cartier initially offered the bracelet exclusively to famous couples such as Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, Nancy and Frank Sinatra. The love bracelet became so popular it is still a best seller at Cartier.
And I hope the "Juste un Clou" collection will become so popular like the Love Bracelet...so classic and so chic for everyone who is going to wear this exquisite collection.

Kisses, have a nice weekend and see you next week!

YSL @ Keni Valenti Gallery Opening Event

by Angeles

The great entrance of Keni Valenti Gallery with a image of a young Yves Saint Laurent painted by artist Javier Mayoral.

Keni Valenti Gallery opened its door with a fabulous exhibit featuring Yves Saint Laurent
here in Miami, Wynwood Art District. Keni Valenti who is known best for his extensive vintage fashion collections which are often spotted on celebrities
has been working in fashion for years and years.
Keni started his fashion career as a designer doing accessories for Betsey Johnson using recycled objects; from car parts to old clorax bottles. Fast forward through photography, flea market sales and inspirational shopping for top brands,
Valenti now has showrooms in New York and Miami carrying an amazing fashion
inventory of several thousands of pieces.
His premier Yves Saint Laurent show includes photographs, lithographs, jewelry, hats and accessories.
And if you are in Miami you must go to Keni Valenti Gallery...now a treasure secret place
in the Miami Art District!

Kisses
The show includes a priceless dusky blue 1959 Christian Dior Couture evening gown that was part of YSL’s landmark collection and you can see it in the video below.

And his big dream is transform his gallery in a Miami Museum of Fashion with thousands of pieces that  he has been collected from around the world and add some fashion history, anecdotes and
